Dr. Omkar Prasad Baidya, born on December 3, 1984, in Agartala, Tripura, India, is a distinguished Indian author, educationist, doctor, and philosopher. He serves as a faculty member for Physiology at ESIC-PGIMSR and ESI Medical College in Kolkata.

Dr. Baidya has made significant contributions to medicine, completing his MBBS from the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences and earning an MD from the same institute. He further pursued a post-MD-PhD program under the guidance of Prof Sunita Tiwari at King Georges Medical University, Lucknow.

As a prolific author, Dr. Baidya has published notable works on moral philosophy, universal ethics, and world peace. His books emphasize the importance of human virtues, moral education, and universal religion in shaping a peaceful world. He introduced a new morality theory and proposed an equation for intrinsic morality in his book “Morality Beyond Human Brain: Scientific and Philosophical Exploration.”

Dr. Baidya has received numerous national and international awards, including the Dr. BR Ambedkar National Award, the Asia Peace Prize, the Mahatma Gandhi Nobel Peace Award, and the Nelson Mandela Nobel Peace Award. He has been recognized as one of the top 10 influential people and top 20 healthcare experts in India for 2022.
